Emir Sandhu is a Vice President at the Blue Venture Fund.
He helps manage the Fund’s investments in HeartFlow, Octave Bioscience, Perspectum, Thrive, and Somatus. Emir is a physician and previously completed Radiology residency at Stanford University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. While at Stanford, Emir participated in the orthopedic imaging care of the San Francisco 49ers.
He serves as adjunct clinical faculty Diagnostic Radiology at Stanford University. Prior to BVF, Emir consulted on medical innovation initiatives at Google and co-founded OpenBiome, a nonprofit organization in Somerville, Massachusetts, which operates a public stool bank and supports research on the human microbiome.
Emir earned an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and BA in Economics from The University of North Carolina as a Morehead-Cain Scholar.
